Drums & Vocals
I was pretty much born into music with my dad being a great country/bluegrass lead guitarist and my mother who sang in bands. Growing up, my three sisters were also into music, one played trumpet the other two played flutes. I attempted at around the age of 12 to learn to play guitar... Dad bought me a Stratocaster.
Yeah, that didn't go so well. Lol. Sold the Strat and bought my first set of drums, a 5-piece Ludwig Tempros which I still have.
Later I met my wife whose dad also was a country lead guitarist. Yep... our dads knew each other and played music together a lot, and I played with his band for a number of years until he passed away (local people may remember Billy Jo and the Timberjacks ). Jerry was their lead guitarist, and he drilled me on timing in my music. A few years later we formed a family band, where we had a lot of fun until issues came up and we just stopped playing.
I used to be a firefighter, and one day at the fire station Bruce (who was my boss) asked me if I would drum for him. At that time, I didn't know he played... let alone played Classic Rock! Well... here I am! Hahaha!
It is such an honor for me to be part of this great group of musicians better known as Hard Times!
