A New Direction...
Last night, at McDuff's, we played our last gig with the lineup we've enjoyed for just over two years. Hard Times is sad to announce that Garry Bouwman and Frank Chrisman have decided to move on to other things... and we wish them the very best! We've had a great run together and we'll miss everything they've contributed to our success. Thanks guys... it TRULY has been a pleasure!
So what now? Hard Times is going to take a brief hiatus from the stage as we whip two new guys into shape... guitarists/vocalists Jeff Rairigh and Brent Russell have both joined up with us and we'll be back and ready to rock come March (maybe even sooner).
Thanks to all you Hard-Timers for your continued support, and a big thank you to our regular gigs for being patient and understanding for the next couple of months. As always, Hard Times is dedicated to bringing you the best classic rock in West Michigan!

A Celebration at the M-89!
We just found out some VERY cool details about our gig at the M-89 in Otsego for September 8th & 9th. As you know, they M-89 has been great to us and we really love playing there. The owners, Tim and Linda, have decided to sell the business and that weekend is going to be the first weekend for the new owners, Danny and Tonya. The bar will actually be closed for 10 days immediately prior to that weekend for some redecorating and will be re-opening on September 8th.
You know what that means right?

July is gonna be hot!
Hey Hardtimers, we just booked a gig at the Murawski Tavern in Gobles for July 22nd... they're under new ownership and we get to be their first band ever! Come on out for a great time and help us show them what the best classic rock in West Michigan REALLY looks like!
Also, just a reminder that we'll be taking the stage one week before that for an hour at the Wayland Main Street Celebration from 1:30 to 2:30. Wayland and McDuff's have been pretty good to us and we're really looking forward to a chance to show our stuff to a wider group of people... fun for the whole family!

Rock 'n Roll Weekend!
In two weeks it'll be a rock 'n roll weekend as Hard Times has two... yes TWO back-to-back nights of bringing you the best classic rock in West Michigan!
Friday May 12th - Join us as we kick off the City of Allegan's Riverfront Concert Series from 7:00 'til 9:00 outside on the Riverfront Stage!
Then...
Saturday May 13th - Hard Times rolls back into McDuff's in Wayland from 9:00 'til 1:00 for a great partying time!

Down on Main Street...
Hard Times has been invited to play for the Wayland Main Street Celebration! We'll be taking the stage from 1:30-2:30 on Saturday, July 15th and we're really excited about playing for Frank's hometown! Bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun and GREAT classic rock!

Rockin' the Para-Dice!
Last night's gig was simply awesome... not because of our playing or showmanship, but because of the people for whom we were playing. Garry Bouwman said it perfectly in this Facebook post of his:
"We had an absolute blast last night! It was truly a blessing to meet and play for the veterans in Grand Rapids. A huge thank you to the Para-Dice motorcycle club for the way they honored those who fought for our country. It brought a tear to my eye. You know, our band and many like us always talk about playing on the "the big stage " in front of huge crowds, but I seriously doubt anything will top last night. I am so thankful I got to be a part of it!"

We just found out that the Valentine's Dance Party at the Para-Dice Motorcycle club in Grand Rapids is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! that means you can bring your sweetie out for a rockin' time for Valentine's Day in Grand Rapids... now what could be more romantic than that?

Returning to the Nest!
Hard Times Band was just invited back to the Allegan Eagles for a show on April 22nd. We had a ton of fun the last time we were there and we're excited for the opportunity to rock Allegan again with our friends at the Eagles!
